Skillet Green Beans
1/2 lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed and strung
1 1/2 C. water
1 chicken bullion cube
1 T. butter
1 tsp. bacon grease
1/4 tsp. my house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper...combine and store in an airtight container)
2 strips bacon, cooked and finely crumbled
Place the green beans in a skillet and cover with the water and add the bullion cube. Bring up to a boil, reduce the heat to medium high and cook until the water evaporates. Add the butter, bacon grease and house seasoning. Toss to combine well. Remove from the heat and toss in the bacon before serving.
