Strawberry Sauce
2 lbs. strawberries 1 C. sugar 2 T. lemon juice (only if canning)
Wash and cut up your strawberries. Place the strawberries in a pot and add the sugar. Over medium heat, let them begin to cook down and release their juices. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or to your desired breakdown of the berries. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice if you plan to water bath can them (15 minutes in the water bath). You can let the sauce cool and freeze it as well. This will keep up to 1 week in the fridge.
