Mexican Hot Mess
1 lb. ground beef 1 small onion, chopped 1.25 oz. pkt. taco seasoning 15.5 oz can chili hot beans, undrained 4 oz. diced green chilies 2 T. taco sauce 4 oz. pkt. velvetta cheese sauce 4 C. slightly crushed, tortilla chips 1 1/2 C. grated cheddar cheese shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, green onions for topping Brown the ground beef in a skillet, about 3/4 of the way through add the onion and cook till meat is done. Drain well, add the taco seasoning, beans, chilies and taco sauce, combine well and stir in the cheese sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes. In a 2 quart casserole dish, place 2 C. of the tortillas in the bottom, top with the meat mixture and 1 C. of cheese. Add the remaining 2 C. tortillas and then the remaining cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomato and green onions before serving.
