Pizza Casserole
12 oz. pasta (twin pasta, spiral, or penne)
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground sausage
1 C. chopped onion
1/2 C. chopped red bell pepper
1 1/4 C. pepperoni, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
24 oz. pasta sauce
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 C. grated parmesan cheese
1 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
Cook the pasta according to pkg. directions. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over med. high heat. Drain off the grease and stir in the onion, peppers, 1 C. pepperoni and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes and then stir in the pasta sauce, basil and parmesan cheese. Combine well, lower the heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the pasta and stir it into the sauce. Pour into a 2.5 qt. casserole dish, top with the mozzarella cheese and remaining
1/4 C. pepperoni. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
