Melt In Your Mouth Chuck Roast
2 1/2 lb. beef chuck roast
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 T. my house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper, combine and store in an airtight container)
1 C. beef broth
1 pkt. dry onion soup mix
1 1/2 T. cornstarch
1 clove garlic, minced
Season the roast with the house seasoning all over and place in a 5-6 qt. crock pot. Sprinkle the bacon over the roast. Whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
