2 T. veg. shortening
1/2 T. cocoa powder

In the bowl of a stand mixer add the yeast, water and 1 tsp. sugar. Allow to proof (foam up) for 5-6 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and begin mixing on low speed, increase speed to med. low and mix for 5 minutes. You should have a nice soft dough at this point, remove and place in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean towel and let rise till double in size, about 1 hour. Punch down the dough and turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead a couple of times and divide into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 5"x6" rectangle and then roll the dough up away from you and place seam side down on a lightly greased baking sheet. Allow to rise for 45 minutes then brush with a little melted butter and bake in a 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Serve with honey butter (3 T. butter, room temp. and 1 T. honey, combine well)
