Cheesy Cheddar Dump Bread

2/3 C. warm water

1 T. instant yeast

1/4 tsp. sugar

1 1/4 C. all purpose flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 C. shredded sharp cheddar cheese

In a bowl, combine the water, yeast and sugar. Allow to proof (foam up) for 3-4 minutes. Using a wooden spoon stir in the flour and salt. I end up using my hands to form it into a dough. Add the cheese and work the dough to incorporate the cheese. Shape into a ball and place in an 8" greased iron skillet. Cover with a clean cloth and let rise for 1 hour. Brush the entire surface of the dough with a lightly beaten egg white and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. It will be lightly golden and sound hollow when tapped on.
