Mama's Faux German Chocolate Cake 1/5/23
1 box German Chocolate cake mix 1 can coconut pecan icing 4 large eggs 1 C. water 3/4 C. vegetable oil 1 C. chopped pecans (optional)
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water and oil by hand with a wooden spoon. Stir in the icing and pecans if using. Prepare a tube cake pan with shortening and flour. Once batter is combined well, pour into the tube pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes. Allow to cook in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cake plate.
